Dr. Addison B. Nelson is a native of Tampa, FL. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Central Florida where he maintained Dean’s list status while earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science. During his time at UCF, he was an active member of Team Chiropractic, a pre-professional club for students focused on further study in chiropractic, donating his time to educate the local community about the benefits of chiropractic care. He furthered his education by earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Marietta, Georgia maintaining Dean’s List status while being involved with various student clubs and organizations.
During his time as a wrestler, Dr. Addison developed an interest and passion for natural approaches to healthcare after sustaining multiple injuries. This was his first experience as a chiropractic patient that led to his devotion of raising the standard in health and wellness. From his experience he learned the importance of regular chiropractic care to maintain his overall health and well-being while reducing the risk of further injury.
As an active advocate for overall health and wellness, Dr. Addison enjoys educating patients of the benefits of chiropractic care and devotes the extra time needed to fully answer patients’ questions to help them reach their individual goals. Having the patient’s best interest in mind, Dr. Addison works closely with other health care professionals when referrals or co-management is needed. He has experience working with all varieties of patients, from pediatrics to geriatrics, collegiate athletes, and weekend warriors. He is proficient in several chiropractic techniques, which he utilizes for each specific patient case as needed, including: Diversified, Thompson Terminal Point, Activator, Cox Flexion-Distraction, Toggle Recoil, Gonstead, and Extremity manipulation.
In his spare time, Dr. Addison enjoys spending time with his family, the outdoors, staying fit, and donating his time to the community.
